Daucie M. Rose

Graveside services for Daucie Rose will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield, at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, officiated by Jack Stewart of the Church of Christ.

Daucie was born February 22, 1923, and passed away on November 22, 2002. He grew up and received his schooling in Talihini, OK. At age 19, he went into the military, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked as an electrician for 40 years in Bakersfield and at Edwards AFB-Rocket Test Site. Upon retirement, he moved to Oakhurst, CA, and was caretaker at Yosemite Bible Camp for 6 years. He was living in Mariposa, CA, at the time of his death.

Daucie is survived by his wife, Della Rose. November 26 would be their 60th anniversary. Surviving children are sons, Arthur Rose, Daucie Rose, Jr. and Alva Rose of Bakersfield, and daughter, Marion Cunningham of San Bernardino. Arrangements are being handled by Sierra Funeral Chapel of Oakhurst, CA.
